Radar vs Wolf’s Upcoming Debut Full Length Album
I’ll let RvW do the talking:
Radar vs Wolf is a rock band that formed in September 2009 in Riverside, California. The band took shape around the talents of Tom Gorrio (guitar, vocals) and James Bratton (vocals, guitar). They’ve released two EP’s thus far: This EP Is Legit and You Need This EP. Touring off these two EP’s for two years, they decided to settle down in the fall of 2011 and hash out a full length album. In the winter of 2013 Radar vs Wolf will release their debut full length record out of The Paper Mill in Nashville, TN, self titled radarvswolf. The album features production and drums from Mike Marsh (The Agency, Paper) and bassist Craig Schlesinger (Paper, The Remedy Session), both good friends of Tom and James.
So yeah, this is kinda shameless. Now I wouldn’t touch their two previous EPs with a ten foot pole, but this full length – wow! Much credit to James and Tom for really stepping up their song writing. And of course, extra kudos to Mike Marsh for his brilliant production on every song.
Now that the recording process is over, RvW needs a bit of help funding the mix/master phase of the album – and their Kickstarter just went live today:
We’ve spent the last year hard at work recording our first full-length album at The Paper Mill in Nashville, creating sounds side by side with producer, songwriter, and drummer extraordinaire Mike Marsh. The album features both Mike – on drums – and bassist Craig Schlesinger as our rhythm section. They’re amazing! The album sounds amazing! How’d we get so lucky?!?!
Both Tom and I have been working dead end jobs here in Nashville to pay for our studio time and record the album out of our own pockets. Emptying our bank accounts to bring you more great music has been the best experience of our lives! No really! Truth!
Now that all the songs are recorded, we need to get the record mixed and mastered. The mix/master process is going to cost around $3,000. We have not yet found the actual people who will be doing the mixing and mastering, but we will keep you updated on all the details as they unfold.
Please check out the video (stupid WordPress won’t let me embed it) and cough up a few bucks. The song playing is one of the tracks from the record, pre-mix/master of course. If you want to check out a few more, go to their Soundcloud page – in fact, I’ll drop one at the bottom of the post for ya. Thanks for supporting my friends, and to a lesser extent, me. Oh, and did I mention James and Mike are libertarian too? So yeah, support libertarian musicians. The world needs more of us!
