Video Shows Henderson Police and Nevada Highway Patrol Joining Together To Beat Man In Diabetic Shock

As a one time resident of Las Vegas, I try to stay up to date on the criminal justice goings on in my former home of Clark County. Luckily, the police watchdog blog Clark County Criminal Cops monitors incidents of officer misconduct in the Southern Nevada area — disgusting incidents like this one that came across my Google Reader a few days ago (video below):

For nearly four months both the Nevada Highway Patrol and the Henderson Police Department denied the public access to a videotape capturing officers from both agencies ruthlessly beating Adam Greene and then callously laughing about how  unnecessary it was to use so many officers to subdue an unconscious suspect.

Greene, who doesn’t remember the beating was suffering from diabetic shock when he lost control of his vehicle at the intersection of Boulder Highway and Lake Mead. When Greene did not respond to officer commands, they operated under their default programming that all citizens are a threat and need to be dealt with a rush of force and violence from all involved, including “Johnny Come Lately,” Henderson Sgt. Brett Seekatz, who doesn’t let his tardiness deprive him of the opportunity to land five cowardly kicks to Greene’s head.

To Serve & Protect my a$$… Every police officer involved in this beating should be imprisoned for at least 5 years, loose their jobs as police officers, never being allowed to be one again, and right to bear arms for the remainder of their lives.

    • July 8, 2013 at 7:05 pm

yes he should, everyone of them should be in jail now. And they tried to cover it up by not releasing this tape. This man should be bringing charges against each one of them.

This happened in 2010. The person who wrote the article must have gotten his Google info a bit late. He received almost $300,000 in 3 different settlements. What I’m wondering is why is this being brought out as recent news…THIS IS 3 YEARS OLD!!!

Because most times it doesn’t hit national media, the government doesn’t want citizens to read stories like these. You don’t hear about them until it hits the internet. I live in Michigan and today is the first time I have ever read this story. I’m glad you posted, I was curious how this ended.

    • July 8, 2013 at 5:46 pm

Does it really matter when it was?? It still happens every day and $300,000 isn’t nearly enough for not only the beating but the humiliation. I’ll bet those bastards with the badges are still on the force in spite of this.

Pretty standard for cops out West. Tell you what though- catch those motherfuckers in a walmart parking lot at night, say in ridgecrest ca, and its a whole different ballgame one on one. Punk motherfuckers with a badge and a gun. Fuck that shit cuz I ain’t the one! Fuck the police, and their whole damn crew, and if you’re loving on cops, then Fuck you too.

Dam right….come to my neighborhood punk cop and you’ll leave in a bodybag you piece of shit. Of course they’ll have to do a forensic autopsy to figure who you are coz you’ll be one hell of a mess when we get done with your gnarly punk ass.

Pretty standard for cops out West. Catch em alone though, and one on one its a whole new ballgame wait till citizens start opening up on cops when they see em doing that shit. Its gonna start happening soon.

  12. July 8, 2013 at 5:43 pm

They ask if anybody got hurt???? Hell, YES! The guy they kicked the shit out of. They should all be fired. WTH, beat the shit out of someone and THEN ask questions????? Give them a badge and they think they’re GOD! Then they stand there laughing like ignorant goons!

Such blatant excess force here. When I see this kind of video, it turns me against law enforcement big time. And I want the officer who was laughing at the end to be identified? Will there be any charges against the one officer who kicked the man when he was already handcuffed and down, half conscious from a diabetic coma?

  18. Mona

My husband was insulin dependent and in fact actually hit a school bus on his way to work. His blood sugar was very low and he didn’t even realize he had hit the bus. A Hamilton County Sheriff got him to pull over and thank God had enough common sense to see that something was wrong and called an ambulance. His blood sugar was 25 when the ambulance arrived. The Sheriff actually saved his life. The actions of these officers could have caused this man to go into a diabetic coma which he may not have ever come out of. Stupidity like this should not go without punishment. I know police officers have to deal with idiots every day but occasionally there is that one time where the person is ill and cannot respond…… The excessive force and kicking was not necessary and these men should be punished!!

At the very end of the clip the cop just starts laughing, says something like, “I could have taken him by myself.” Apparently the realization that the poor man was a diabetic and had gone into diabetic shock was hilarious to the cop. These cops should lose their badges.

we have been brain washed to believe the police is always right time to de program , time to get ccw and stand up against the crooked society they have developed

I had a similar incident happen like this in Las vegas back when I was a trucker….I pulled off the road to catch some sleep and was woken to the door of my truck being jarred open. Ive never visited the states since. The US border is becoming an Iron wall for Americans….no one likes them and they should stay home. If I see any of these cops come visit Canada all I can say is their safety will be in jeapardy.

  22. July 8, 2013 at 11:51 pm

2 random Nevadan pigs must be killed in retaliation for this.

  23. July 9, 2013 at 12:23 am

They knew he was in diabetic shock and had insulin in his pocket; yet they search his car? Where’s the probable cause for search?

I ask everyone reading this to contact the Nevada Governors office and the city of Anderson city council and demand these officers be arrested. Please flood their inboxes and phone lines until it’s done. Mayor of Henderson is Andy A. Hafen # 702-267-2323. Nevada Governor is Brian Sandoval # 775-684-5670.

These people need to be in prison.. Why am i over here fighting when things like this are happening back home?

  27. July 9, 2013 at 8:58 am

Unacceptable. Cops to have a dangerous job. They do not know what they are coming into in any given situation. But an unresponsive individual? Lights flashing and him stopped? He is not hiding and not resisting. Where was the common sense to kick in here? Took them awhile to find his diabetic tag. I wonder if diabetics need that in a more prominent place like on their forehead?

Everyone one of them should be fired and banned from law enforcement work ever again. Thugs posing as police. Laughing is intolerable. All should be charged with assault and battery!

  29. July 9, 2013 at 12:12 pm

I agree with everyone here. Some one should form a petition in their county to get those fucking thugs off the streets permanently. That is one of the most disgusting displays of excessive force I have ever seen. How can those ruthless people sleep at night? What horrible shit have they done that we don’t even know about? These people are claiming to enforce our LAWS

  30. July 9, 2013 at 10:46 pm

They should scream at him and beat him to death first. Then ask if he has any medical conditions. Or just shoot him and use the throw down gun from the leg strap.

  31. Hotrod
    July 10, 2013 at 1:15 am

They could have killed him. He was already in a bad way and they gotta kick him in the head? Five of them? To protect and serve…themselves. Then they laugh about it and the one says that he could have taken the guy down by himself. Right. But they are the gang in blue.

  32. July 10, 2013 at 8:59 pm

    Karma motherfuckers Karma !

round up all of these cops… and every single one who has done something like this… and crush each of their joints with a small hammer. Take a jagged stone, and grind the skin off their bones… don’t let them bleed out. Cauterize their wounds. Then kick them in the face until they die.
