Gary Chartier Helps Place Libertarianism In Its Proper Context
Over at C4SS, Gary Chartier dispels the “understandable, unfortunate misconceptions” of libertarians being unconcerned about the poor and favoring corporate power.
Chartier argues that libertarians are pro-market rather than pro-business. Moreover, he reaches out to the “principled left” on the grounds that politicians “consistently use efforts they claim are designed to promote the public interest to benefit their cronies” and that “the power of the elite depends ultimately on privileges granted and maintained by the state”:
Chartier also blogs at Bleeding Heart Libertarians
